Green Moustache Housemade Limoncello Recipe (makes 1 litre)

  1. Zest 5, high quality lemons

  2. Mix the zest of 5 lemons, 300g of sugar and 300ml of boiling water until sugar has dissolved

  3. Leave the mixture to cool to room temperature

  4. Add 350ml of vodka and stir, we like to use Archie Rose Australian vodka

  5. Pour the mixture into a sealable container and leave to rest for two weeks

  6. Strain mixture with a sieve to catch the zest

  7. Your limoncello should last up to a year (warning: it’s VERY delicious and may not last a week)

For brownie points try using your new limoncello in a cocktail like the Green Moustache ‘Nonna’s Spritz’, 60ml of limoncello, 90ml of Prosecco, topped with soda water. Mama Mia!
