Life is better in pink
On Saturday 27th January 2024 we hosted Broadsheet access members for an exclusive preview of our ‘la vie en rosé: a celebration of Provence’ lunches.
These limited edition, pink themed lunches on Saturday 3rd and 10th February 2024 pay homage to the Provence region of France with a menu inspired by the French Riviera, free flowing, award winning rosé from Château La Gordonne and delicious rosé spritz cocktails. Best part? A portion of the ticket sales are being donated to the McGrath Foundation to further the incredible work they do.
THE ARRIVAL
Guests arrived into a floral filled oasis and were promptly welcomed with a glass of pink bubbles before being seated for the main affair.
To begin, we served a famous pissaladiere - freshly baked foccaccia with anchovies, thyme, olives and onion alongside fresh rockmelon and prosciutto bites.
THE MAIN AFFAIR
For the mains we served a Grand Aïoli Provençal, the emblematic dish of Provence. Grilled fish, fresh prawns, seasonal vegetables and salad, eggs, potatoes and garlicky mayonnaise.
Guests were kept topped up with 2022 Château la Gordonne Verité du Terroir from Cotes de Provence Rosé, France and peach and strawberry Provence rosé spritz cocktails.
TO FINISH
To complete the lunch, guests were delighted with traditional strawberries in red wine alongside macaroons. Magnifique!
